"I'm going to go pick up the girl and I'll be back," Jake shouted over the music, smiling at Koby as he walked out of the apartment. He got into his car and drove off to the sorority after a last minute phone call to Rayna about the address. Once he arrive, the front door was already open. He knocked however before stepping inside, and Rayna appeared in front of him almost bumping into him. She had opened the door as he pulled in. "Oops, sorry!" Jake laughed, stepping out of her comfort zone. He smiled at her, how she looked so simple, so sophisticated. She would stand out at the party for sure. Smiling, he reached for her hand to guide her to the car, opening the car door for her and letting her inside. He got into the car himself and started it. "You do look really beautiful," Jake said simply, and then they drove off, back to his apartment.

The music could be heard several apartments away, and Jake shook his head. There were to be a lot of complaints tonight. But it didn't bother him too badly. He quickly got out of the car to open Rayna's door for her and let her out. The front door of the apartment was wide open, letting people stand outside and talk and smoke. Inside, it was flesh on flesh, so cramped and so many people. Koby was dancing with Rose. Rose was dragging her hands all over his body, touching him and lowering herself to his groin just to come back up again, probably giving him a good look of her cleavage once again. Jake rolled his eyes, still having a smile on his lips. "I want you to meet my best friend," Jake said into Rayna's ears over the music, nothing like what Koby would have done. He pulled her into the crowd of people before Koby and Rose. "Koby! Koby!" Jake shouted over the music, grabbing their attention. Koby stopped dancing and Rose stopped mid-grind. "This is Rayna, my date! Rayna, this is Koby, my best friend!" Jake shouted over the music, introducing the two. And the faces that came upon their faces was as if they'd seen a ghost.
