Rayna got out of the car as it sped away. She
never said she was going to forgive him. She
never said she'd take him back. She said she needed to talk to him. Rayna was just flustered by Koby's easily changeable moods. She walked up to the door and knocked hard. Waiting outside, she saw Jake open the door. He looked... disappointed?
"Why'd Koby drive you here?" He said bluntly. She looked at her feet. She felt like she was being interrogated, but it's probably because she hadn't told him about her relationship with Koby.
"Can I come inside..?" He walked her inside, with a hand on her hip. Once they both sat down, Rayna told him everything. She told him about the night during the storm, the party and the night before. He seemed shocked but not upset.
"So that's why there was so much tension..." She nodded.
"But I didn't even know you knew Koby, let alone he was your best friend, when we met up at that pizza place. My feelings are genuine and I don't want to lose you... that is if what happened last night doesn't happen again." And by
last night she meant both parties. He then pulled her up to him and she
kissed him, cupping his face with her hands. But the same passion
wasn't there. Maybe it's from being honest and letting out the secrets. But the kiss didn't feel right. She sat on top of him as he pushed the hair from her face.
"Are you okay?" He said. He was obviously talking about the storm,
"I'm sorry... It won't happen again.." He admitted. She smiled and kissed him one more time.
Still no spark
