Gardenia: Plenoran Castle Gates
Alexander awaited the response of his Homunculus(Alaysia) ally. "I am honored by your generosity, sire," She said this as if it were her duty to. She seemed to hold him in high regard. Was she smiling? Did he do anything to cause that? No, it couldn't possibly be that easy to make someone happy. Alexander didn't see Eri walk up to him, since he was still busy studying Gregor. He decided to study each piece individually, since studying a group could prove all at once could prove hard. "Hiya, Chief!" She seemed to be having fun and she was smiling, but this could simply be a facade. She saluted him and he replied with a simple wave. He didn't show that he was surprised, but he was internally flustered. He was being scanned, so he let himself be studied. He didn't particularly enjoy being observed like a test subject, but, circumstances called for this. "Y'know, it's hardly fair of you to obsess over meat, here, while the rest of us are standing around soaked to the bones~" Was she.... teasing him? He was surprised that she could be so happy and...he couldn't quite think of the correct word to define her. He guessed that her tipping her hat down was meant as a greeting. He would've done something with his crown, but he wasn't wearing it, and it would be awkward to pull it out just to greet someone. "Hello," Alexander decided to try subtle teasing," I'm terribly sorry for not noticing you, but I am simply studying Meat, as you called him." Alexander didn't actually think the man was named meat, but he knew that there could be different cultures here and that his upbringing was not universal. "You can assess over us once we get inside, no?" She didn't seem to enjoy the rain. "Of course I can. I don't know your name madam, but I wont ask at the moment." He didn't want to continue this conversation while they were still in the rain. He was beginning to finally understand who his subjects were, but he couldn't quite judge them, until he managed to spend more time with them. He didn't notice kael, since he was busy studying the pieces near him.
He heard a groan from nearby, but he paid no heed to it. It was probably one of his allies, and he quite frankly, didn't want to bother anyone at the moment. "A king must address himself as King." The piece(Gregor) he had approached earlier seemed to be humble, but Alexander highly doubted that this was sincere. He mentally slapped himself for thinking such thoughts. He shouldn't be suspicious of his allies. If one of his allies was tried for heresy, then he would have already lost. "Oh?" Alexander seemed slightly amused. "If I were to be too sure of my position too early on, then wouldn't I look like a foolish and mad king?" He would have explained in more detail, but he didn't want to catch a sickness while outside. He wasn't sure how advanced this town was in the science of medicine, and he didn't want too have to find out anytime soon. "Gregor Wysecrow..." Gregor, as he now revealed to be his name, was cut off by the previous talking of the female piece(Eri). "Gregor Wysecrow is my name. My sword is at your service." He had a serious tone to his voice. He didn't kneel, but Alexander didn't expect this. "It would be proper to end this talk inside. There are somethings that are better unspoken whilst it rains." Gregor said this, looking at Alexander and Alaysia for consent. "It would do us good to figure out where everything is located in the castle." Alexander was planning out strategies already, but he would have to factor in different things. He didn't even know what abilities his allies had, he would have to fix this problem. He thought he saw a dragon, but surely there wasn't any here, were there? Weren't they just creatures of myth? Yes, that must have been it. Oh god, was he hallucinating now? He stopped thinking these idiotic thoughts and got back to reality. "I am going to the castle now. You may follow me if you wish."
Alexander began walking towards the castle. He quickly but calmly reached the entrance, then he simply entered. He had hoped that the castle would have it's own library, but it would be highly unlikely. This town seemed to be a strange mix of modern and olden buildings, but then again, how would he know what was normal and what was strange? A history book would be convenient, but nothing would ever be easy. Life, sadly, just didn't work that way. He thought that the castle should have seemed strange to him, but for some reason, he felt as if he belonged here. Sure, the castle seemed eerie and empty, but he heard the occasional servant scurrying around. He would have called out for someone, but he then remembered that he was to be followed by his allies. He turned around swiftly, expecting one of his allies to be behind him.
