It wasn't long before Maria came to, her body having simply shut down to allow time for her nervous system to recover. Her regenerative capabilities were formidable and she didn't have so much as a headache for her ordeal. Her new surroundings were familiar enough, and it was a predicament that she was well familiar with. Rolling over, she rose slowly with watchful eyes to take in her surroundings. There was something feral in the way the woman moved, the amber hue that still tainted her eyes with their wolfish gleam.
Some individual had the forethought to have her clothes tossed in with her while she was unconscious, and upon assessing her surroundings she quietly pulled the furs back around her shoulders to offer some measure of modesty.
She approached the door of the door of the cage, grasping it with her hands to give it a tug to test the strength of it. As it held up under her actions her eyes roamed up and down the hinges before she looked beyond to the man in the labcoat. The hostility in her didn't abate as she tugged at the door once more before stepping back from it and examining the rest of the cage.
