It was nice to find comfort in something aside from the drugs. Kaleb was good at that - she wasn't sure how to identify the sensation down to a T, but it was soothing. His lips graced the top of her hair, making her get peculiar little chills that made her jog in place almost. With a grin, her head snapped up to look at him again. She gave him a funny, one-eyebrow-raised look, pursing her lips, "Eeeeegh I'm so gone right now. I think I wanna' go home."

The way he had listened to her ramble when she was high was - dissimilar to the way the others had treated her when she jabbered on. It was almost as if Kaleb snatched the sentiments out of thin air and tucked them into his pocket as she spoke. He was actually paying attention. In fact, it was because of this, that she seldomly went off on a tangency around anyone aside from Kaleb and well - her dog Mitzie. "I love you too, Jay." It pumped through her faster than the coke, and again she did her odd, shivery dance. And she was glad he had his arms around her because well, the world was spinning at such momentum that everything looked like a Piccaso.

"Yeah really - I mean I don't know, Kale, I'm like - not even here right now. Don't listen to me." She felt as though she had said too much and even discomforted him. And inwardly she was actually a little covetous of how he felt for Kite. Not that she was swooning over Kale or Summer but it was nice, that he cared for her in that way. She'd never really experienced that type of affection from anyone. But she had also stopped looking for it a long time ago. When she felt the sense of longingness she would dwell for a day or two at the most, ice it the fuck out, and move on. Different… things filled that particular void nowadays.

"Let's talk tomorrow about this."
Oh, Jaylene thought to herself at Kaleb's riposte. Tristan meandered over, fragmenting the intimate and drug-laced conversation. Kaleb and Jaylene broke away from each other as they registered the concern from the others about where Summer had wandered off to. "She's just tripping face, she knows the woods pretty well. She likes to wander sometimes." Jaylene sighed as she padded back to her damp shoes to slide them on. Before Kaleb got too far, Jaylene wrapped her arms around a tree and called out, "I'm gonna' go home." The entire night had spun awkwardly out of hand - not in the way she typically preferred. Now she was left with the aching inside of her, the hunger for wonder dust and wanderlust and oddly enough, home sickness.

Drained of all her leniency and solicitude, she patted her pockets for her keys. Side by side sat Bonesy and Kaleb at the seething, blistering fire. The flames reflected off of Avi's shiny, chestnut hair and her jutting bones. Jaylene smacked her forehead softly, trying to steady the aimless vision that was ailing her. She was pushing it but she still dipped behind the tree trunk and gave herself another bump before dancing over to her friends. As if doing more was really going to fix anything. She planted a kiss on both of their heads then snuck up behind Tristan to swing her arms around him and nestle her face into his back, "Goodnight baby."

The trees she was peering at as she slipped away seemed to mangle around her, causing her to swat at the air a little. It wasn't like she wasn't well aware that she was just experiencing a delirium produced by the blow; she was only acting impulsively. "We need to get Summer to the hospital. We need help!" This elicited a grim laugh from Jaylene who was now utterly annoyed. Her hand grabbed a tree as if there wasn't enough brain capacity left to stop the movement in her legs. If only Brik was that concerned about himself. Halting, she looked over her shoulder to see him carrying Summer like an infant. Kite was out cold and it didn't surprise Jaylene or extract any concerns. After all, she wasn't spewing blood and trying to kill herself. She was just ripped and like most people who didn't eat enough and gobbled pharmaceuticals, she needed rest.

Kaleb deduced the situation as usual, trying to diffuse the worry and hassle of it all. It wasn't his best front to cover up his apprehension and adoration, but he did okay. Jaylene only paused to listen then called out, "She just needs some rest and lots of water. Kaleb will make sure she gets home, right bay?" Nodding without a response from him, she started to skim the edge of the lake again and start her journey back to the car. She didn't think anyone would be left disgruntled or distressed by her leaving, and if they needed a ride, they'd be smart enough to follow. The sounds of hacking echoed behind her; it all manifested so swiftly in her mind she needn't not turn around to know what was going on. He didn't want help. She didn't want to give it anyway.

"What a fucking waste of my night," she grumbled as she swatted at the gaudy, scintillating ghosts that followed her and chittered and buzzed around her head, "I should just stop thinking about anything - that way this senseless bullshit doesn't ruin my good time." By the time she had made it back to her car, she wasn't aware until she smashed into it head on in the dark. Sober, she'd have just grabbed at it and steadied herself. But as she was then, blitzed and aimless almost, the impact sent her falling right onto her ass. "So lame." She muttered nonchalantly as she sat on the forest floor, slightly damp and syphoned of enthusiasm.
