Jackie had been on the couch when everyone was talking about going into town. Everything seemed to happen so quickly. Seth had said something about him helping her control her mage powers, a boy they called Jonas walked in, Sierra ran out, and then Jackie felt her hand being grabbed. Soon enough, Seth was pulling her and Amayu out of the house and into the outside world.

The air was so clean and icy, and she breathed it in, long and deep. Her lungs almost stung from the blast of coolness. Almost. Her lips parted and her teeth became exposed, forming a small smile upon her face. It was a beautiful thing to see these people who had been caged up inside that facility for so long see freedom once again, and be able to have close to no care in the world. They had been in there for days, months, and years from the looks of it. Jackie though, she had been there for what seemed to be no time at all. The smile, if anything, was for them and not for herself. However, that smile disappeared as quickly as it had formed, in a matter of seconds. Why, she didn't know. Maybe it was the torture they endured, or the guilt she felt. Who knows?
