Dani heard another howl. The voice sounded different from that of the first wolf. It sounded as if the wolf wasn't in her territory, but she had to make sure. "Adam, come with me." She darted down the steps and paused at the base of the hill to sniff around a bit. She had to make sure that there hadn't been anyone else there. Since there were no other scents around, she deemed it safe and continued on toward the forest where she heard the howls.

At the edge of the woods, Dani paused again. She wasn't sure about leaving her territory, especially in her wolf skin. A shy lick behind her ear let her know that Adam was next to her. She glanced at him and cautiously entered the woods.

Adam didn't get the chance to say anything before Dani took off and told him to follow her. He took off behind her. It wasn't his place to move any closer or further ahead than the alpha. She was his natural leader. He wouldn't know what to do when put in that situation anyway.

Once they reached the woods, Adam shyly licked behind her ear. Dani seemed a bit unsure. When she started walking in, he followed her again. It didn't seem to be a good idea to go without the rest of the pack, but Dani was usually able to defend herself pretty well.
