Viviana slammed her bedroom door shut and ran down the stairs into the living room, she walked to the front door and picked up the mail from the floor.

"Garbage, Garbage, Coupons, Garbage, what's this?" Throwing all the garbage back onto the floor she took the white glossed envelope with a red seal and opened it with her nail.

It read:

"Hello, Viviana Blackwell,

The time has come.

You are going from a Junior Puppeteer to a full Puppeteer. You will be going through the initiation, and finding a long term spouse. This is not optional. If you decide not to come, then you will be hunted and executed.

Trust me, I don't think you want to do that.

You are to report to the Scotland campus. For the location, please consult your parents. It is where they completed their initiation, and I don't think they would forget it.

You have 5 days to get there.

Vivy knew the letter was coming at some point since she finally turned 16 in July, but she had no idea it would be this soon. She ran into her parents bedroom and threw the letter onto their bed. Her mother batted her eyes open.

"Oh good, the letter has finally arrived, it has been ages since you turned 16." She sat up taking the letter and read it quickly, Viviana knew she was finished when she smiled brightly and set it down next to her. "Well it has been a long time since I've been to the Scotland campus. I suppose we should get ready then, it is a whole days worth driving away. She got out of bed waking her husband and started undressing.

Viviana's face turned a disgusted green color and she ran out of the room before her mother was fully undressed. "Why, why do I have to do this? Can't I just be human!" She thought as she slowly walked back into her room.

She started packing clothes for the trip. "Shirts, check. Pants, check. Underwear, check. Shoes, check. Great, now all I need is a spouse and my life is ruined. She collapsed on her bed just in time for her parents to walk in screaming at her.

"Why are you sleeping?! Get up we are getting into the car now!" Vivy sighed loudly so her parents would hear. She left the house got into the back seat of the car and strapped in.

"Scotland campus, hear I come."
