Because it made her a target of the Shikaku. If they got wind of this, they would probably come down on her in the dozens. She was the ultimate Shikaku magnet, his ultimate source of revenge.

But first, he had to figure out what all those other people around her were. Were they Shikaku? Mirai? Friend? Foe?
