Brent could've almost laughed at her pronunciation, but he held it in for the time being. She couldn't help having an accent, and to be quite honest that was the main reason why Brent had found himself so hooked on her. He would definitely find it hard not to pursue her. She was just so beautiful. And then again, he would also find it hard to get to know her and then run off back to England and never return. Perhaps they could form some sort of an arrangement. Holiday bang buddies, in a sense. He'd return to Haiti one summer and she'd just be waiting for him.

He smiled at the thought.

"Is your friend going to be alright? I don't t'ink he should be out wit' a cough like t'at," she said. He shook his head in response. "He'll live," he mumbled. "It's just a cough, nothing too serious. Besides, everyone's looking after him now. Mia won't be able to rest at night if she just let him run around the streets with a flu."

Brent also shifted his gaze to the old guy that Miranda had been glancing at for some time. "Go and check on him," he said with a smile. "I'm gonna need a minute or two to pick out my meal anyway." He lifted his hand and practically shoo'd her away. He was trying to be nice by allowing her time to check on someone that he could only assume she was close to, but he'd never been the kind to do a good deed without seeming like he was being rude.

He pulled out another menu and quickly scanned it, thinking over some of the different choices he had. Foreign food certainly was.. interesting, to say the least.
