Sean was conflicted.

One half of his was terrified. He shook, partly because of the cold and partly because of the fear he had running through his veins. This boy had taken off his chain! If the Snow Beast was able to reach the town, he would kill. And this boy wanted to know what made him like this. It made him nervous.

But Sean also had a sense of bravery. He didn't want to seem like a coward. So, he got up, rubbing his sore ankle as he did. He looked at the boy for direction. Sean wasn't sure he even knew the way back to the city. But, he decided to trust the boy... it was his only chance.
