Lou seemed to be relieved slightly by Conner's words, up until Katherin entered the room. He left the room, leaving Lou and Kat to talk about the medicines she had taken. Conner headed back to his room to get changed from his regular clothes into his
only suit for the festival. It wasn't the nicest suit, but it was the only one he had. He was one of the only men in the rebellion to have a suit at all. Truth be told, Conner did not want to go to the festival, but as a leading commander, he had to make an appearance if only for a moment. Almost like a symbol of hope. He sighed, leaving his room in his nice clothes and off to the festival.
Conner arrived just in time to catch Lou in the middle of his speech. He watched the crowd cheer and drink to their leader, all smiling and enjoying themselves. Conner stood to the side of the crowd, far from the main chaos. A few fellow soldiers smiled at Conner and left him quickly. He knew that they only smiled out of respect. It was the women that Conner had to be afraid of. He could see them looking at him and spreading the rumor that the commander had arrived. It was almost like a game to them. Year after year, he knew that they sent girl after girl to see who could get him into bed. And year after year, Conner denied them of even his bare skin.
And so, the
first girl walked towards him. She was beautiful, sure. Much more so than the ones who usually came first. She smirked at him, holding two drinks in her hand, as if she expected to meet with him. Conner narrowed his eyes slightly and furrowed his brow as she swayed her hips and came at him as if she owned the word. He was being challenged. This was new. Conner took in a deep breath and puffed out his chest subconsciously. He saw Drew in the crowd looking around and only hoped he would see him. This was a rare moment that Conner wanted Drew to come in.
"Commander. Nice to meet you." The girl said in a stern tone. Conner didn't reply.
"Got you a drink, handsome, but I drank it.""That's too bad." He replied. The girl dropped one of the glass and tugged on his tie to pull herself up and whispered in his ear,
"But you can still have some." Without a moment to react, she kissed him.
Oh, she's smooth. Conner thought to himself. She pulled back, but remained close to his face. He knee rubbed up against his inner thigh and her chest against his.
"I want to do some bad things to you, soulja-boy."By that point, it was enough for Conner. He stepped to the side and briskly walked off to get Drew as the girl snickered. Conner grabbed Drew's shoulder to grab his attention and greeted him,
"Hey." He could taste the alcohol from the girl's kiss in his mouth, and it was foul. Drew could probably smell it, but the whole place smelled like alcohol.
