Ana Yamaguchi
Ana hoped Delan would be in a good mood so he’s let her off easy, but she knew by the expression on his face that this wouldn’t be the case.
"Yeah right. I am too small to be seen am I right? Do you think with just a word saying sorry I'll forgive you?"
“I-I’m sorry, it’s not your fault. I... I was distracted and not looking where I was going...” In the privacy of her own head, she continued with: Oh no, this can’t be good. He’s not in a good mood this morning and I don’t want to start an argument with him.
"See as yourself as lucky, because I'll forgive you.”
Well that’s a relief. I guess he’s not in that bad of a mood after all...
“Yes, I'll forgive you, unless you be a model for me for one day. How does that sound? Aren't I forgiving?"
...eh?
Ana was caught completely off guard with Delan’s remark. By the time his statement fully sunk in, Ana’s face had finished turning pink with embarrassment.
“...W-wait, you’re joking right? You’re just fooling around, right? You don’t really mean that... right?”
"Although you are definitely not the best choice, I am hoping a good work from you."
Shock and disbelief had changed to red embarrassment and panic.
“No... no no no nononononono! Woo-san that’s too cruel! I can’t possibly do that, it’s too embarrassing!”
As if things weren’t surprising enough for Ana, she was surprised once again when Ryoko suddenly leaned against her and wrapped an arm around Ana’s shoulders.
"Take it easy on Ana, Delan-kun. It isn't her fault that she couldn't see you, you could pass of as an elementary school student with your height. Besides, if you need a model, just use one of the underclassmen again."
Under normal circumstances Ana would have been uneasy with such close contact, but if a hug from Ryoko meant not having to be Delan’s model, then Ana would want Ryoko to never let her go. In fact, Ryoko’s interference gave Ana a chance to calm down a bit and reorganize her thoughts, though being so close to Ryoko didn’t do anything to stop Ana from blushing.
“Ryo-kun... t-thank you, but... I mean, I don’t think you should make fun of Woo-san’s height.”
Why am I defending Delan? Ryoko went out of her way to save me from Delan, so I should be siding with her. But it’s not Delan’s fault that he’s short, and I don’t think teasing him about it is going to make the situation any better.
Turning back to Delan, Ana continued, “Woo-san, can you please reconsider? I know you like designing clothes, but I don’t think I’m suited for being a model.”
