Zoe had gotten up and joined the rest of some of her pack mates as they surrounded Adrian protectively, standing strongly by her side. The female she had had pinned down didn't try to stop her. Zoe was a bit scratched up, but for the most part she was okay, no worse off than the rest of them. And the intruders were definitely the worst off of all, and their situation was about to get worse because they had messed with the wrong wolves, the wrong pack, and now they had made a move against a whole kingdom of werewolves.

As Zoe processed what Adrian said, she couldn't help a protective growl escape her throat at the same time the rest of her pack-mates let out protective growls around their Luna and friend. The fact that their Luna was pregnant seemed to have stunned them all, but they regained their composure and hid their surprise for the most part, recovering fairly quickly. A rush of emotions swept through Zoe; joy for her Luna, who was also her friend, anger that these wolves had the audacity to harm her and try to take her away, and a severe protectiveness that the whole pack seemed to share. But congratulations and celebration for the event could wait; these assholes had to be dealt with first. Zoe held her position beside Adrian, glaring the offenders down, her eyes flashing yellow.

Zoe glared at this 'Derek.' He was obviously someone Adrian knew from somewhere in her past, but obviously not in a good way. And man did he need a life! Ten years. He had looked for her for ten years? Yeah, Adrian was an amazing girl, but ten years of his life spent searching for her for some deranged desire to have her kids? A bit creepy. Zoe wasn't sure exactly what was going on, but she did understand that this guy was nuts. Was everyone around here losing their mind? And man, this guy was obsessive. Zoe hated this annoying, control-freak bastard; of that, she was certain. She was also certain every single one of the wolves of their kingdom would risk their lives to protect their Luna, especially now with the exciting news out in the open.
