He wanted to fall over and die in embarrassment. It sure was a way to make the girl think he was weird. She was looking at him curiously. He stared at the ground, tracing little circles with a finger. His ears drooped further, and he bit his lip again. With his head lowered, he glanced up at her through the long strands of his bangs. She seemed to be thinking, as her finger wrapped around a strand of her own hair. It was such a pretty color, her hair.
“Well I’m not too sure what you’re trying to say,” she began but then paused... “My name… is… Lucida. What is…yours? Do you… have a… family? Are… you all… alone?” she finished.
He glanced up, and grinned slightly. Somehow she had understood what he meant, without him actually saying it. He calmed down a bit and focused on her words. A few stood out to him Name...yours....family....alone Was she asking his name? That had to be it, but what was Lucy...dah? He jumped a bit as realization hit him. It must be her name. He grinned a bit more, upon understanding.
“I....Kat-ar-o...nyan!” He said, relieved that it didn’t sound squeaky or anything in fact his speech had a slight purr to it. Kataro processed the rest of her words.
”Fam..ily...nyo....Alone...”
He paused, and played with the end of his tail which had come to circle closer to his body. His previous grin turned into a frown and he gave a small nod
