Eventually i got thirsty and turned my back to the meadow, dissapearing into the forest and sniffing the air. It had been years since i had last hunted... but it was in my nature, so i couldn't forget how to do it.
Following the hidden trails of the forest, i eventually found the small herd: deer. They didn't taste as good as human blood, but at least it was something.
I crouched down in the shadows, making sure the wind wasn't blowing my scent in their direction as i crept forwards, leaping out of the bushes onto a deers back, making the animal snort in fear as it collapsed onto the ground. I sank my small fangs into it's neck. They weren't large enough to kill the animal and i had to hit it several times on the head before it stopped fighting. I smiled slightly as i sank my small fangs into it's neck again, drinking the refreshing blood... feeling stronger.
