Alice raised an eyebrow at Lucas having grabbed onto her hand, but said nothing. She was vaguely familiar with the gesture, the Hatter had certainly made a habit of it, though she wasn't sure how comfortable she should have been about that either. Regardless, she was more concerned with what he said next.

"Yea, these are pretty dope."

This confused Alice for a number of reasons. Firstly, machines had no minds, at least as far as she was aware, and thus could not be dopes. Secondly, his previous point had been how great they were, which would run quite contrary to claiming that they were stupid. "I'm sorry, but you're not making much sense. Why would you call the guns dopes? They don't seem to be especially foolish, at least as far a large chunks of metal designed to launch smaller chunks of metal at high speeds go."

She found Lucas' playing with the turret to be mildly amusing, though she couldn't help but wonder why exactly he had suddenly developed an accent that differed from the one he had previously been speaking in. Still, this was probably one of the most normal things she'd done in the past couple of hundred years by normal standards.
