Jesse felt arms reach around them and he knew they were Klaus. Jesse pulled him in closer and for a moment he felt warm and comforted. He felt gentle lips against his temple and closed his eyes. He was ashamed to cry in front of his friend and he burrowed his face away into Klaus' shoulder. Jesse heard Klaus speak and he nodded, "Th...Thank yo...u" He had a difficult time talking through his tears. His shoulders shook a little and he gripped Klaus tight "Don't... Don't leave... me" He didn't want to be alone, he needed to feel companionship and love, and Klaus was the answer to all his needs.
They stayed like that for a long while until Jesse managed to regain control of his tears and with one last sniffle he raised his head and looked at his friend. He had left a nice wet tear stain on Klaus' shirt and he lifted a hand and rubbed his fingers over it as if it might make it go away. "sorry." He mumbled softly. He then wiped under his eyes and hoped that he looked alright, and then stood and pulled Klaus to his feet as well.
I knew that I had to start thinking about a lot of things. For example I did have my parents life insurance money which was a hefty penny, but it wasn't going to last for ever. I needed to start thinking about a job and where I was going to stay. Even though it was really nice to stay with the Everhart's I was sure that they wouldn't want my presence to be a permanent thing. Even though I knew that I had to focus on all these things I just couldn't I needed to forget, I needed something to take my mind off things... And so I found myself asking a question that one doesn't normally ask after a funeral...
"Do you want to go see that movie now?" Jesse asked Klaus. "We could invite your sister and Eden too."
