Kei Wakahisa
The only thing bothering her at the moment was the heavy and strangely warm object laying on top of her and making it nearly impossible to sit up. She stared at it. After a moment recollection of why the object looked strangely familiar filled her mind. "Why hello there big brother." He did not stir. "I know you well enough to know you can't possibly be asleep so would you get off of me. You're heavy." Nothing again. Doing the only thing she could think of she smacked the top of his head. The light haired boy didn't flinch and Riye noticed her hand seemed wet. Looking at it her eyes widened. That red liquid was most certainly blood. An ear shattering, blood curdling scream echoed through the halls.
"Kei! Don't die! You can't be dead! Oh my fragile big brother! I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you! I didn't mean to fall asleep!" Finding new found strength she lifted both herself and her brother and squeezed his head. In her frantic state she didn't notice the boy awakening from his unconscious state.
"Riye? Whatever are you talking about?" The girl froze and stared down at the top of the boy's head. Kei's hand moved to her arms and pried them loose so that he could sit up. Seeing his sister in her somewhat shocked condition he smiled in a gentle manner hoping to bring her out of her stupor. He did wince slightly at the throbbing and stinging he felt on the back of his head. I must of been struck in the back of the head during the earthquake...
Unfortunately for Kei, his smile had the opposite affect than the one he had been hoping for. Rather than calming her with the knowledge that he was alright, it irked her that he was smiling in a situation when she was obviously unnerved. His twin sister was always a little unpredictable. Punching him in the arm with all the strength she could muster she growled at him, "This is hardly the time to be smiling, you idiot. I seriously thought you had died!"
"I am deeply apologetic to have scared you. I will reflect on my actions." Kei bowed his head in defeat before standing up, "Perhaps, however, this is something to be done in a safer and more familiar location?" Riye yawned as she too stood up. The pair made their way to the only door leading out of the room, Kei in the lead."Watch your step."
"So where do you think the exit is? 'Cuz I've got no idea." Riye finally said after the two had been wandering for only a short time. Kei chuckled and shook his head at his sister's impatience. He opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by his Riye's voice, "Maybe they know."
Kei turned to look at his sister, confusion evident on his face. "Who is 'they'?"
Riye pointed down the hallway,"They owners of those auras, of course." She stated with a matter of fact tone. Kei looked ahead, while he could not see auras he trusted his sister's sight well enough to believe her when she said there were people ahead. Sure enough, the closer they got to the end of the hall the more he could hear multiple voices. They sounded as though they were making introductions. The pair peeked around a corner and saw said group of people that Riye had spoken of. "Told you there were people down here."
Kei smiled kindly at his twin, "Your talent never fails to amaze me." Riye gave her brother a bored look and yawned, Kei opted to look forward at the group. He did not trust them. For multiple reasons. The first being the strange appearance of many of the members of the group; at least one of them had bright pink hair and many of the others wore outfits not befitting to the time period. The second reason was the fact that he couldn't help but suspect them of being the reason that he and his sister were caught in this building, and the third and final reason was that at least two were armed with weapons.
"They're weird looking." Kei looked down at his sister a worried smile gracing his lips, Her bluntness never fails to amuse.
"Riye, that's rude." The youngest sibling rolled her eyes at her elder in response to his comment, just being honest here. Stepping forward and inconspicuously angling himself between his sister and the armed characters, Kei smiled apologetically, "We are quite sorry to interrupt your conversation but we seem to be lost inside this building and we were in hopes one of you may be able to direct us towards the exit."
"I'm not sorry."
"Riye." Kei spoke her name sternly as he frowned at her.
"What? I haven't done anything to feel sorry for. They are weird looking," Riye covered her mouth as another yawn escaped her lips before continuing, "their colors are all wrong." She eyed them with sleepy eyes as she yawned yet again. Not one of their auras were the right color, and some of their auras shape was just plain creepy. Staring at the guy with the strange glowing red eye her spine tingled. His aura was dark. Really, really dark. Yet, it didn't really strike her as being evil either, weird.
