The Taiyou response fleet formed up in a rough sphere around the strange ships, and began a steady bombardment which likely seemed to cut slap through any shields, conducting the shield energies around the projectiles themselves, and impacting the armor in brilliant explosions.

"Tennoheika! Banzai!" A Ship commander shouted, bearing his Naginata to bear on the encroaching ship, loosing two Anti-ship torpedoes that careened through shields in a brilliant display of energies, before moving to impact the hull, likely tearing it apart in the resulting explosion.

The Infiltrator orbs moved through space, before they were caught in a cloud of nanomachines that orbited the planet, slowing them down as they moved past the defense grid. Point Defense Wave-force cannons finished them off. It seemed Niihama itself was enveloped in some kind of planetary nano-screen, as Torpedoes and infiltrator pods alike lost their kinetic energy, and were subsequently neutralized. What few managed to slip through the screen and into the Atmosphere, were targeted by Niihama's ParaSOL defense grid, a tight-knit network of Anti-Air, Anti-Missile, and Anti-Orbital Solar-cannon arrays. What pods were blown open, would find even miniscule debris were subject to the scintillating array of brilliant yellow beams of light, until there was almost nothing left.

The Hadron Cannon bore aim, before it discharged a thin filament of orange light. This filament seemed to impact harmlessly on the shields, before the ship itself collapsed into a singularity the size of a pea, the subsequent release of energies sending a shockwave powerful enough to destabilize the course of the other vessels, which found themselves under sustained bombardment from the Taiyou Fleet.

Three more brilliant wave-force beams seared through Taiyou formations, likely causing havok on the shields.

The Emperor had already been informed, and General Nagumo had reported to the Taiyou's Central command.

"Bring us to full alert, ParaSOL status?" He said, a Commander reporting. "ParaSOL is neutralizing the pods as they come in, They're so far banging harmlessly against our impenetrable defenses."

The Second shot rang from the Hadron cannon, a thin filament of orange light striking the second ship, before it too likely collapsed into a singularity the size of a pea, detonating in a furious explosion.

More infiltrator pods were caught up in the Nanoscreen, before being neutralized against the ParaSOL defense grid.

All in all the immediate formation of Lochlyn's ships were swarming with Taiyou response forces, leaving nothing to chance, the sheer number of Taiyou assets in the Niihama system more than sufficient to stop anything ten ships could throw.
