All the tension bleeds out of me and I smile softly as she places the coins on my table "Thank you so much, I can't thank you enough" I say softly taking the small bag and tucking it away safely under my mattress. I return from my room "I don't have plans right now, I can come with you if that's okay" I think about what the officer said, I don't care what the public thinks honestly. Someday I'll be the boss of them and their opinion will be of little meaning to me. However, there's no way I'm paying for what I stole.
