Selwyn bowed deeply to the woman. "Your compliments are greatly appreciated, my dear. And yes, you are correct. There are many people here that wish to speak to me," he paused for a moment before leaning in close to Cordelia's ear and letting out a soft whisper. "I, however, wish to speak with you, Cordelia." The man allowed his lips to gently graze her ear before moving away from her face.

He took another glass of wine off a tray and offered it to the Knight.

"Please. Join me where it is not quite so loud," the Magistrate spoke as he walked towards his private cordoned off area without bothering to look back. He knew she would follow, and he smirked, delighted at the thought.

Selwyn pulled out a chair at a small ornately decorated table in the back of the immaculate tavern. He waited for the girl to be seated and pushed in her chair, letting his fingers brush across her shoulders before making his way over to his seat. With a flourish of his jacket, he eased into his spot and took a sip of the sunwine.

The Magistrate tended to move with a grace and calculation that made it appear as if it every small move, every facial expression, every gesture, were all rehearsed or choreographed. While others held power in their magical abilities or fighting skills, Selwyn Austaire's power came from not from his sword or size or spellcraft, but from his skill with people, and his presence.

He studied Cordelia Ightlor's face for a moment, letting his thoughts wander to his bedchambers momentarily before taking a sip of wine and letting a smile form on his face.
