Kioni was overjoyed that Snowpaw was happy about what was happening. The next step was to tell kionis father, and then the clan. Kioni was excited, very excited... maybe a little too excited in fact. He kept jumping around and wouldn't sit still for even a minute, he couldn't explain how happy he was and at one point even flew straight up in the air, forgetting he was a cave and effectively knocked himself out cold. He was out for a few minutes then back to bouncing around and nuzzling Nightfur lovingly. Kioni continued to be excited until snow paw eventually left and the two settled down for the night to sleep. Kioni stayed awake for what seemed like all night, eventually drifting off to sleep



Almost nine weeks later they had told everyone about the kits already. Kionis excitement had faded and fear crept in. "What if I'm not a good enough father...? What if they grow up and hate me? What if i can't protect them from every danger possible..." These thoughts ran through his head constantly. He did his best to appear fine to Nightfur, but he was sure that she knew something was up, He eventually told her, about a day before she was to deliver the kits. He couldn't keep his feeling hidden anymore, he was still happy, but terrified at the same time. He couldn't wait for their kits to be born, he wanted to hold them close and never let them go.
