Nevy looked more tired then she had ever been. They had been walking already for several hours. Even though it had been a few months since she had lost her brother due to the Vampire King, it didn't lessen the pain. 'I hate this hunger for power. Not just from the Vampire King but we're also dealing with the stupid Demon King as well. Sometimes I wonder how can three humans make much of a difference.' Nevinna thought to herself in thoughts. However hearing Darra's words she sighed honestly she didn't think that was true at all. At least for herself, Nevy knew there was no way she could ever be that sweet innocent girl they had grown up together with. That girl had long since died when her brother was murdered. When her innocence was torn due to the horrible loss of her brother.

"I'm afraid I will never ever be that girl again, Darra."

Nevy admitted sadly. She knew more then ever that was true. She couldn't be that girl anymore. Clenching her fist as her thoughts went to the Vampire King. She wasn't a skilled fighter but she was trying to learn how to defend herself but not very well. Oddly enough she managed to kill one vampire already but that was a female not a male as men tended on being a lot stronger, even though vampires were stronger then humans. Even so she still had difficulty believing she had managed to kill one already along their journey. Though they hadn't been attacked for awhile now which seemed weird. The back of her hairs against her neck tried telling her to be ready at any moment in case of a surprise attack. Blinking she looked at Ognen suddenly. She had completely missed the reference of what growing up felt like. Though she managed to catch Ognen's voice as he asked her if anything was wrong. She noticed the hint of worry in his voice.

"Same as always. I wished people would have to stop dying at the hands of the vampires and the demons. I wished for peace. This burden is too much at times. Then I think about my brother...he had his whole life ahead of him but they stole that from him."

Nevy answered him her voice trembled it almost sounded like she was either going to just fall or cry. But oddly enough she did niether. Moving out of hearing range she had missed what Darra had said about Nevy being Ognen's girlfriend. Her eyes went to look at Ognen as he spoke to her yet again. She gave him an appreciative nod as she tried to give him a smile even though it came out more as a weakened one.

"I hope so. Are we almost there in an area we can rest for awhile. I'm beat."

Though she wondered who would end up taking the thrones once they managed to be rid of the vampires and the demons espeically the kings.



Meanwhile....


Proklet continued to move rather in fast movements due to his abilities. His mind continued to wander as a frown spreaded on his face. What could he do to change his own fate? What could he do to make a change in the odds of good versus evil? The vampire sighed shaking his head for he had no idea's whatsoever to solve this problem.
Winching against that powerful force that was trying to force him to do such evil deeds. A painful voice trying to command him to kill and slaughter innocent people like he had done so in the past not being able to fight it then. However now he could barely manage and that's why he felt so drained as it was a constant battle against the kings power over him.

'No I will not hurt innocent people anymore. LEAVE me alone!'

His mind practically screamed at the Vampire King directly whether the king could read vampires minds or sense their emotions or not. He couldn't give in, he just couldn't!
