"I...I..." Roman blanked for a moment from her stutter, suddenly afraid he had come to the wrong conclusion. She fell forward and he moved his body to support her weight, only to fall into her trap. She whirled faster then he had seen any human girl move and suddenly he was in her grasp.
Roman felt the cold tip of the silver knife even through his shirt, running his yellow eyes to rest on the weapon, "..am your worst nightmare if you do not let go off me, or this nice silver blade will go right through and into your drum". Roman nodded his head slowly, his brain still trying to catch up to the sudden turn in events. He raised his eyes to rest on hers, noticing instantly her change in character. So she had been playing him, whoever she was. Romans hands twitched to reach forward and tear her throat out, anger growing inside him. How had he allowed this puny girl to get the better of him?
As she began her speech, Roman attempted to calm himself. He breathed in deeply, listening to her words and sorting through the meaning. Of course, he did not trust a syllable she let out, but he would listen (only because of the silver at his heart).
"...I am aware that you wish for more, and no doubt would make a finer alpha than that of...what's his face..." She trailed off.
"Wilder" He rasped out, finally realizing what her ploy was. She wanted to take down the authority of the pack and replace it with him, only he wasn't sure why she was doing this. Yes, he hoped to take over one day as alpha, but what did that have to do with this girl? Roman examined her, now that he was not under her spell, he could see how battle hardened and strong she appeared (for a human).
"You still haven't answered my question, who are you?" Roman asked again, stepping forward and holding back his wince as the blade pricked his skin through his white shirt, "Do you expect to be able to meddle in the lives of the pack and escape alive? They would tear you apart, use you as a meal to feed the young. You are in over your head, human. While I appreciate your concern, you will end up killing yourself if you continue as you are. And while I hope to take over someday, I do not plan to make a move anytime soon..."
