The cat started talking about a proposition. Eleywen sighed deeply to herself, closing her eyes for a few seconds. Never enter a plan with a scheming Khajiit, or other beast. Who knows what could happen? She remembered hearing a story about how someone, desperate for coin, had agreed to help an Argonian take some supplies up from the docks, and was then ambushed by a whole bunch of them, completely robbed of anything valuable. At the thought of this story, she shivered slightly, though that also could have been because of the chilly air. Her eyes followed the motions of the Khajiit, and she leaned forward slightly against the railing and into the rain to stare up at the mountain.
Tall masses of stone formed a sort of pattern above, like archways that probably lead to the cave that winded deep inside the mountain. What types of people were up there? Probably a bunch of bandits and feral animals taking refuge from the harsh winds and snow. They would be hostile if anyone unknown showed up on their territory, and attack probably right away. Of course, imagine what was being guarded inside...gold, gems, precious jewelry, rare ingredients she could use for her alchemy. The thought of everything that was there was terrific.
She realized she had zoned out, and quickly refocused, watching the Khajiit once again. He was willing to split the money. Eleywen was about to cave in, she would have said yes right away, but rather than speaking for thinking like usual, she refrained from doing so. Would he really split it? What if this cat planned to keep it all for himself, killing the two while they were sleeping or something? She'd have to stay awake most of the night, if they had to stay a night, to avoid that, or put a few fire runes around her at all times. He could just be saying he was a hunter to remove suspicion from him. What if he was part of one of those miserable, underground guilds?
And the Nord...she said she only wanted an adventure once again, but she had a bad temper. Eleywen wasn't sure if traveling with her was exactly the smartest thing to do. They might get into another fight again. And being around someone like her was bad enough. By Akatosh, what would people think if they saw a Thalmor traveling with a thief and a Stormcloak? Hopefully the trip up the mountain wouldn't have any people alongside it, lest they see her with these two.
"And this one?"
Eleywen looked up suddenly at the sound of the cat's voice. She didn't respond right away however. She crossed her arms over her chest, examining them, thoughts running through her mind. After about a minute, she let out a quiet breath, unfolding her arms.
"I'll go. But listen..." She turned to look at Dar'Jargo grimly.
"If you try anything, I'll have you sent for Thalmor interrogation, and you'll never see the light of day again." Her words were harsh, and not entirely true. She didn't have control within the embassy anymore, however the threat was hopefully enough to instill fear in them.
"And you," The Altmer turned to the Nord.
"I'll notify the embassy of a newly found Talos worshiper and have a whole army sent after you, if you try to pull anything on me."
With that, she forced a small grin, and glanced up to the mountaintop once again.
"My name is Eleywen, by the way. Don't give me any nicknames."
