Seth clenched his fists tightly and exhibited even more rage when the fire had been blocked by the little girlās hand. He noticed that he was able to burn a hole through the suit of one of the male fay and wouldāve burned even more of it had Emelia not hold him back.
āHow could you?!!ā she screamed, witnessing the little Fay consume the last bits of Elizabethās flesh. The Fay didnāt seem to feel any sort of emotion. She simply maintained a calm composure and congratulated Seth for merely succeeding to bake Elizabeth. Seth was having a hard time controlling his emotions, but he was holding back on pushing Emelia away. He couldnāt believe that in his anger he had only succeeded to make Elizabeth even more appetizing for the Fay to eat. āNo IāI didnāt mean toā¦ā Seth stumbled on his words. He was supposed to protect Elizabeth and he tried his best but in the end he couldnāt live up to it. āElizabeth IāIām sorryā¦ā Seth whispered.
Coming to his senses a bit he recalled that the Fay mentioned something about others not being able to catch on as quickly as they had. He thought about the card he had collected from the monster they had witnessed. The name āChristopher Krakenā and the deformed man behind the tentacles led Seth thinking about whether there were others that had come into Imaginerium just like they did and whether they tried to use it like they did only to be eaten like Elizabeth or killed like Ginger.
He was interrupted in his thoughts by Sebastian who wielded a sword and said, āYou know that we canāt win this fight I hope.ā
Seth hated to agree but Seb was right. The Fay were in charge. They knew their location and they had some awareness that allowed them to realize Elizabeth was dead. Yet Sebastian had shown that he will support Seth despite how impossible it will be to win, which Seth admired and smiled a bit. Emelia had also made sure to protect Seth by holding him back. Although he was initially angry that Emelia would prevent him from clobbering the Fay even more, he could have gotten hurt instead. He wasnāt the only one that had lost Elizabeth. His friends lost her as well but they needed to survive as well. He took a deep breath and said, āYeah I know. Iā¦lost control back there. Iām sorry. Emelia thanks for holding me backā¦Sebās right check up on Lucas and Ginger. Iāll be fine donāt worry.ā Seth said smiling a bit to Emelia for the first time.
āYouāre right Seb, we canāt win this fight but what do we do now?ā Seth asked trying to think of solutions.
āFight now, run and strategize to fight later, or seek helpā¦if thatās even possible.ā There was something that Seth wondered. Are there any other inhabitants of Imaginerium besides the Fay and themselves?
