Nightfur hushed her daughter and herded her and misty to their indoor area they had set up with little tidbits for the kits in storms like this. They were lucky to have such a big cave. She turned them around and kept a serious, motherly face and tone as she spoke. "Darlings, that's not important right now. What's important is that you guys keep your selves busy and let us sleep." She licked the both of them gently before turning to her bed. "And Misty, you get that basket of herbs right inside, not just on the edge of the entrance ok?" Misty nodded and did as his mother asked while she sauntered off to bed. He gripped the bark basket in his teeth tightly, and just as he turned away, he saw a ghostly figure out of the corner of his eye, just for a second. He spun around, but there was nothing there. He shivered and hurried inside quickly in to the slight warmth that was his home. Behind him meanwhile, a semi-transparent kit was sitting in the entrance of the cave, the branches draping over the entrance bending around him as he observed the happy family. The tiny kit smiled softly and turned around, exiting the cave, into the rain.
