"I just need to rest,"
Ace felt as her palms warmth left his shoulder, causing him to tick back into reality and watched Jenn slowly make her way over to the bed. Her steps seemed unsteady and under confident. In silence she crawled into bed before tucking herself in the corner, causing the raven haired girl to look awfully weak and unflamilar. The sight made Ace sick, but he could do nothing but stand and glare at the poor girl.
Sure enough, she had most certainly returned to him. However, she was nothing like before. Here she was critically broken, with out the will to fake a cold persona. He was pretty sure something must have triggered her emotions to collaspse in on themselves like this, and the itch in his brain to find out who the fault belonged to was unbearable. A unwanted thought suddenly growled in his mind, was this just what all false shelled people became? Would Ember meet a similar truth just like Jenn? He still could not help but relate the pair of them.
"Thank you, Ace...I'm sorry..."
It was only at that point that the blonde realized she was crying. For a good long while his eyes just remained locked upon her, doing nothing while a thousand thoughts battered against his skull. After that he sheepishly crawled under the covers before slowly and surely pulled himself behind her into a couple spooning position. This way she did not have to face him and display her 'weakness' but he could still comfort her and allow her to push him away if needed. He was playing a very risky game indeed.
"Hey...You called me Ace. First time for everything..."
