Ashlynn looked to Aaron who had finally awoken. "Oh good, you're awake, too. How are you doing?" She wasn't the one dating Aaron, that was Violette, but she still felt it a nice gesture to make sure everyone was allright. Turning to Violette, still wrapped in Declan's arms, she smiled a little at her best friend. "It's okay to be scared, Vi. God knows I am." She turned back to Declan, who had managed to wiggle around so that she could be nicely tucked against him. He kept promising that they wouldn't touch her and she sighed, putting her head in the nook between his head and his shoulder. She had always loved that feeling, with her cuddling against him and Declan just doing little things, like running his hands down her hair or kissing her head. It was just the little romantic things that she really loved.

But she looked at him sharply when he said his shoulder hurt. "Oh, no! I should look at it, to see if there's any major damage." Just as she was about to pull down his sleeve so she could look, the thundering voice of their kidnapper sounded around the room, hurting her ears and making her put her hands over them. "You are all at my mercy. There's only one of you that I actually need. In fact, the rest of you should have been killed off. I won't hesitate to do away with any of you that get in my way. You're all apparently too damn disrespectful to respect the man who is the difference between life and death for you little tykes."

Ash froze. The rest of his sentence was drowned out by her overwhelming sense of fear. She only came back to real world when the mic slammed down and it caused feedback to radiate throughout the cellar.

Looking to others with terrified eyes, she said, "Which one of us does he need alive? And how long do the others have left?"
