Zane grabbed her are and put it around his neck and he lifted her up bridal style. Hopefully she was to exhausted to fight back. He didn't mind if she fought against him, he would gladly take the beating if it meant she was safe. He started towards the his house, eight blocks away.
All the way to his house he said soothing words to her trying to calm her down. He let her do whatever was necessary. She could cry, beat, or simply just let things happen. He carried her all the way home holding onto her tightly. "Everything will be okay." He cooed
