Marishka & Ember
Marishka looked like a feminine version of Ace, the resemblance seemed to have saved her from being shot. The stranger looked feral, and tough, and trying so hard to put on a motherly face. The toughness, or the wildness in the Woman's eyes didn't scare Marishka, what did was the motherly look. It reminded her so much of the safe, calm and dull prison she used to live in. She crawled backwards and was able to get to her feet and bolt into the living room. She saw Owsla, and was able to make a quick decision and grab the girl's hand, dragging her out of the cabin.
Ember was doing pull ups on a tree branch when she heard the heavy footsteps of Marishka. She was quick to yank out her twin daggers and instead of waiting for the girl. She ran inside the house, her blood pounding with the sudden realization that Ace was inside the home. Whatever had scared Marishka out of the house, was a threat to him. She darted through the hallway, and stepped into a room that held... A woman. Ember felt the fire inside her stir and grow, quickly fueling the anger in her emerald eyes. Yet, something kept her from tackling the woman to the ground or serving her a backward roundhouse kick to the face. Something was flickering at the back of her mind, but she just couldn't find it.
