Gregor Cain was not part of the main assault force moving in on this slave pen, nor was he privy to the party at all that occurred before hand, having deployed well in advance of the other members, having recon to take care of before hand, having also supplied the necessary information to the assault forces. He would not be joining the attack right out either, he had another task that he had been given, and that took precedence over what was occurring currently, despite the fact that it was necessary to free the slaves, might get them additional recruits and forces. But the defending forces still had to be broken, and the best way of doing that? Target the commanding officer.
Previous intelligence and recon marked this as one Captain Glurdleworth, a rather ugly and disgusting example of the human race. It would prove worthwhile to actually kill this fellow, for a variety of reasons, and on general principles overall, rather than attempt to capture him for any information he might have. His suit was powered currently, and he was scanning the fighting currently, watching calmly as the fighting was kicking off. A suit broke away from the base, under fire from the other Revelation suits, which was odd, and he raised his rifle, aiming at the situation before him, hidden away under his Jackedge's stealth systems. Once he committed to the fight and engaged, he would be revealed, but until then, he was relatively safe.
Gregor decided that the flying suit could use some aid, of some sort, despite the Strike Freedom II having started firing on the forces going after the besieged suit. He zeroed in the targeting systems, and started firing, the DODS Rifle firing its signature spiraling beams, aiming to kill rather than disable. He respected the ability for the SFII, as he called it for short, to be able to easily disable the suits, but he had no such ability to do so, so he shot to kill. He couldn't waste much time here, he had a target to go after. But it was simple enough to pick off the suits that were not expecting the sudden firing from another angle completely that would imply that there was another flank attack completely. It was only him, granted, but it was a viable method, split their attempts to defend, leave them less able to actually defend them easily against either force. But no, he would not simply content himself to pick away at the enemy defenders, he had a target to eliminate, whether this Captain managed to actually get to a suit or not.
Before he moved, out of necessity, Gregor aimed carefully, picking off another suit that was assaulting the Akatsuki, considering it needed the most aid currently out of the fighting forces. Until his target showed up, he would continue to provide fire support. He hadn't tried to hail anyone, as he had no reason to, and kept an active vigil, firing off a steady stream of rounds from his rifle, relocating from point to point, providing cover fire with his beam rifle, not actively charging into the combat yet, just firing shots from a good distance away, acting as much a sniper than just a part of the assault team.
He was going through the motions so far, the assaulting forces creating a much more pressing concern than a lone Suit disappearing and reappearing, firing off several shots before vanishing under its stealth systems, appearing at another unrelated position, firing again and vanishing, all for the task of either drawing out the Captain in his Suit to bring him down, or simply breach the compound itself alongside the assault forces when the time came, covering for the undisciplined violence before the mission, where the team had attacked each other briefly.
