Catching a small smile from her, Neil brightened up. "Haven't you read the kidnapper's manual?" Though it was still a bit harsh, he smiled at it. "Hostages get punished for everything. Not that I'm complaining. This whole easy talk thingy is working pretty well for me right now." "Doing pretty well, yea?" he admitted with a nod and a shrug. Her expression changed and Neil knew something else was coming. "Do you think I'll ever see my brother again?" Neil wasn't going to lie to her. "You know, I don't really know." still with an honest admitting tone. With a sigh, he continued. "Know I won't be seeing mine again.."
Neil didn't want to think about it. If he did, sadness would certainly be visible. That was weakness, he wouldn't let her see it. Besides, she probably wouldn't listen anyway. Last time he mentioned it, it was just glazed over. He was desperate to change the subject. "Are you cold in that? I mean, can get blankets, or other clothes for ya."
