Yumi smiled happily to herself as she skipped down the road, swinging her bag back and forth. Doing a school assignment with someone as quiet and mysterious as Kodaka Hasegawa would be fun. She'd get to learn more about him and maybe they could even be friends!
Earlier on in the day...
Yumi sat impatiently as the teacher mentioned they would be doing a group assignment. Everyone in the classroom was looking hopefully at their friends, but Yumi was actually hoping to be with someone she didn't know very well. She loved making new friends, even if some of the kids at school thought she was strange. Yumi smiled widely when the teacher said she'd be working with Kodaka Hisegawa. Others starting whispering about it, but she didn't mind. She might've been known as weird, and he might've been known as intimidating, but Yumi thought they'd make a great team and she didn't care what anyone else said. She turned towards the blonde and flashed him a smile and thumbs up.
Yumi smiled when she finally arrived at home. She only had some homework today, so she figured it'd be best to do that after her bath. Yumi immediately dropped her bags and went into her bedroom. After she was left only in her undergarments, she looked at her scarred body in the mirror and sighed, remembering all the horrible memories. Yumi went into the bathroom and ran the hot water in the bath.
After she got out, she wrapped a towel around herself and heated up some tea. She got dressed into a plain white t-shirt, a baggy grey sweater, some knee high white socks and a light blue skirt. She did her wet hair into a side braid before settling down with her now ready tea and homework.
Yumi had much more homework than she thought she did, because it was already dark by the time she was finished.
Yumi scrambled to get up as she rushed towards the door. She quickly grabbed her wallet and keys before kicking her slippers off and sliding her shoes on. She quickly rushed out, locked her door and ran towards the elevator.Oh no! I still need to get milk!
After arriving outside, Yumi ran down the dark street, trying to get to the corner store before it closed. Unfortunately, she lived near only one corner store and it closed earlier than most. Yumi walked inside and nodded at the clerk who was lazily leaning against the counter, chewing gum obnoxiously. Yumi walked towards the fridge and pulled out a fairly decent sized carton of milk. She walked towards the counter and the young woman pushed herself up and moved her magazine out of the way. She scanned the milk and gave Yumi her cash back. Yumi bowed before walking back outside.
As Yumi walked down the street dark street, she couldn't help but have a bad feeling. Yumi started to pick up the pace, but then she finally realized something. She was being followed. Yumi started running and she could hear footsteps coming closer and closer. Yumi threw her hoodie up over her head and tightened the strings, unintentionally making it more difficult to see her face. Yumi was now running at full speed and she ran around a corner. Yumi ran into an alleyway, but had a feeling that her stalker knew where she was. Yumi was prepared for what was to come, ready to kick however was coming around the corner right in the face... If things went right.
