March 2013
Renly was sitting in the questioning room of the police station, both her parents beside her. They looked at her baffled, but the policeman sitting across from them began to fill in all of the blanks, "We found your daughter at the Lemaester's Cabin's. It seems there was a lot of unsupervised underage drinking going on tonight. Were you aware of your daughter's whereabouts?" the officer asked her parents. Both Mr. and Mrs. Gregory looked at each other startled, then to Renly. Neither had suspected their daughter lied to them, "No, she told us she was studying with her friends." Her father replied in a disappointed tone, eyeing his daughter once again.
"Well one of her friends, Annalisia is missing." The officer continued, "I'm going to need her statement." Renly bit her bottom lip, letting out a deep sigh. It was finally unavoidable. Annalisia truly was missing. She wouldn't have took it this far. She lifted her head which had been down the entire time, "Alright. I'll tell you everything." she replied. Her parents looked a bit astonished. They expected a lot more sass from their daughter, but were relieved that she wasn't going to smart mouth the police.
"I went to the party with Annalisia, Maria, Annalisia's boyfriend, Quinn, and Jayson.." She closed her eyes, the events flashing in her head, "We all were talking and drinking once we met up, I talked to Maria for a bit then I went to go dance. Everyone was still in a group. I started flirting with this cute guy, and before I knew what happened, I saw Jayson near tears. She said she hadn't seen Anna for a while and we all went to look for her. That's all I remember." She replied back. She didn't want to talk about the events before the party. She didn't want to tell them Annalisia tried to blackmail her before they made it to the party. She couldn't tell them that. She couldn't tell them what she did. She didn't mean it. They made up! Anna was her ride to the party.. they were cool.. but everyone would misunderstand.
Her parents moved to collect their coats, but the cop ushered for them to sit back down, "If she lied about her whereabouts, we must assume she'll lie now. We have to ask more questions. I recommend that you get comfortable and if you have plans tonight, you should probably cancel them."
Ren tolerated Damian as he invited everyone to the party, a scowl forming across her lips. She didn't really like Damian. He taunted her ever since she refused to go out with him. Sure he had the older guy appeal, power, a car, and a bad boy flare, but he still was immature, a sixteen year old boy who cared more about keg stands than a serious relationship. She knew she'd get tossed out to dry pretty quick.
"Hey~" she chimed back to Pierce. He was innocent until proven guilty in her opinion. She just kept it in the back of her mind that he was possibly the reason she lost one of the most important people in her life were missing from it. Maybe he didn't kill her, but he definitely should have been there to protect her. He was her boyfriend. How could he let his girlfriend wander off at a huge party like that? It was dangerous.. She liked him, but she still held a few small grudges, nothing as serious as blaming him for murder though.
"We're going?" she half whined, but was quickly replaced with a laugh, "Fine, gives me a real reason to go shopping tonight." she winked over at Maria. She smiled at Quinn and Jayson afterwards, "A party is a party.." she added in excitement, plus Damian always goes all out." She frowned at her school schedule. She had gym at the end of the day.. She rolled her eyes and begrudgingly went to class. She noticed that Jayson and Pierce were heading in her direction, waving to both before proceeding to pass them. She had to get to English, she then remembered she was in the same grade as Jayson. Maybe they'd have a class or two together?
