The rain was coming down like a dwarven cave in. None the less, the Drunken Beard Tavern was as busy as always, except now it had wet drunks. Not like anyone cared. The man in the corner, however, seemed different. He listened to the rain. When he had arrived only a few minutes ago, it had been a dry and beautiful day. The Neutral Lands could get like this.

He sat there, as the day's wave came. People always had a problem, and the bartender a drink strong enough to make them forget. That was not why Veris had comer here. No, the hooded man sat in the corner that he sat in every time he visited Alira because he need a place to sit down and think. The drunks here were all the 'drink till I pass out, and do nothing else' type, so Veris had little more than the thumping of bodies hitting the floor to break his concentration.

In his hands was a small orb, about the size of a softball. It glowed with blue and purple streams that seemed to be in motion. What was contained in this orb was a realm that had recently came very close to dying. Veris converted the realm into the realm sphere he now held. He had already undid the event that caused the realm to become unstable, but he never liked just fixing a realm and sending it back into the expanse. No, Veris wanted to add something. An ocean and maybe a continent in it, or some new breeds of animals, or both, or more. Veris liked the more idea.

Over by dragons mouth, something much more violent was happening. The demons tracked the realm sphere to this realm, and were now pouring out of the portal they had opened. They came in all shapes and sizes, from hell hounds to death lords, and attacked the first walled town they could see.

It took a little over five minutes for the human city to fall, but the royal family, a contingent of guards, and 37 towns' people had fled out a secret exit of the city. They headed now to the capital of the Eastern Human Empire to tell the High Lord of the attack.
