She definitely expected that. Why should she have been surprised? Katherine resisted the heavy feeling in her throat that was the start of a growl. No need to scare the lot of them anymore than they already were. She flippantly let her hands dangle at her sides before she decided to rest them on her hips. Her tail twitched, sweeping from one side to the other before she could force it still. Her ears lay back, just a little, as Katherine was unable to hide her irritation. At least the one male who had said his name was Fletcher seemed to openly receive her. “Alright. Pleased to meet you Fletcher.” She was happy that one person was pleasant but the other made her huff under her breath as the startled rabbit-boy, or Luca as Fletcher announced, couldn’t mutter a word. As for the girl, she hurried off to her room without a real goodbye. “Well then. So much for introductions and pleasantries there.” Katherine muttered, verging on pouting. Katherine’s gaze fluttered back to Fletcher as he held his dog up for her to see. Her pelt raised but she kept her position and remained still enough to hear his dog’s name. “Kyra, huh?” She gave the dog a stern looking-over before giving a joking smile. “I suppose since your still a pup that maybe we can be friends. After all, you don’t look like one of those flea-brained hunting dogs.” She carefully raised her hand for the dog to sniff but not to close as to let the pup bite her before placing it back on her hip where it belonged.
Katherine looked to the entranceway of the manor as a new man entered. So far, she had gained little ground with her housemates and well the vote was still out on the dog although it looked nice enough. It would be ironic if the dog got attached to her since she was an animal like itself but she took baths like a human and her usual soap smelled like cinnamon, acted like a human, and walked like a human. Although the underling scent would still be animalistic she reminded herself. The new housemate had a scent that was unusual and Katherine narrowed her eyes as a sort of discomfort settled right between her shoulders causing a tension that the other scents that had been in the room didn’t cause. She sneezed and moved her left hand to pinch her nose to make the itch go away. The man introduced himself as Cian and although he smelled weird, that wouldn’t stop Katherine from making as least one more housemate like her from the start. What was that humans said? Like at first sight? She thought amusedly.
“Hey. Katherine Greyford. I’m pretty nice but I can get crabby. You know? Introductions aside, you’ve got a strange scent on you buddy.” She smirked, revealing a row of fangs without thinking about it. She would have extended a hand if not for Fletcher’s departure. He said he was leaving for work and that dinner was at six. Also, that it would be a mystery. Oh how she loved mysteries Katherine mused. “Well, I’m going to assume I’ll get a room to myself? Because I’m not sleeping on a cat bed or at the foot of someone’s bed,” Katherine lightheartedly joked though she was relatively serious.
