Percival with eyes closed yawned loudly. The curtain less window blasted him with an uncomfortable spray of sunlight. Sitting up he swung his arms around feeling the cracks of his bones as he slipped himself out of bed. Another normal day in the household. It hasn't changed much at all since the past years he had been here.
Groaning a bit he sluggishly removed himself from the comforts of the bed. It was his duty to protect the princess and to be on standby at all times during the days. He never really felt the need to protect the princess. She was the daughter of the ancient and old vampire family after all and she was quite powerful.
Slipping on his usual attire of a clean white blouse and black pants, he marched out like an unwilling soldier towards the princess's room. Outside of her room in the halls Percival found several maids looking jittery. They were running around back and forth all panicked with their hands clasped to their dresses and foreheads brimming with sweat. That's when he recalled a certain memory that he had forgotten.
Today was supposed to be another day where the princess would meet her suitor. Approaching one of the panicked maids he tapped her on the shoulder. She spun around like a mad tornado.
"Percival! I'm so glad to see you. Please find Princess Katherine she ran away again." she shrieked pulling at the strands of hair from her scalp. As usual the princess had run away from a suitor. The lady scurried off down the hallways colliding with several other panicked maids.
Stuffing his hands in his pockets he casually walked out of the mansion. Being with the princess for about two years he assumed where she would be. His feet lead him to the stables where he found the stall to have all horses intact. He must have missed her along the way.
After taking several minutes to admire the lush green fields he walked back into the mansions where he found the princess in the hallway. At least he wouldn't get pounded on for the disappearance of the princess. Approaching the princess from behind he saw a shadow that speedily walked up to her.
It was the bodyguard of the eldest princess. Percival didn't remember his name though because he never really interacted with him seeing that he always looked like a rock. Cold as stone which didn't make him the most approachable guy.
