[b]"Alright, deal." he said taking her hand and pulling her closer, his touch was incredible against her skin and all she wanted to do was kiss him again. Everything about his was incredible and that scared her. The one thing that was normal for once, somehow scared her more than her nightmares.
"But if you ever get lonely, you know where I work, and you know where I live." She closed her eyes when he kissed her forehead, it was weird to have a human treat her normal for once. "I like spending time with you, but I get it."
His words made her sigh and she took a step back. He really didnāt get it. He didnāt know how dangerous she actually was or the fact that she was ten time more dangerous, when her sister was around, because theyād always been stronger together. And how the hell could she ever explain that there was a whole other world that was divided and they were both fighting over her and her sister. Just thinking about it made her feel crazy, she couldnāt imagine having to explain it.
She looked up at him, she hesitated before closing the space between them again, she knew it was stupid and she knew just outside Peirce or any other caster could be watching, but she couldnāt stop thinking about the way his lips felt against her, because where it would make others feel like magic really existed, it made her feel normal for once and she loved that.
She wrapped her arms around his neck placing her lips to his kissing him, like sheād disappear into thin air if her lips werenāt against hers. She lend into his lips closing the last sliver of space between them.
She moved next to him, taking a cigarette heād offered and letting it. He watched her as she inhaled. He couldnāt believe, heād drawn her or that heād let her in that much already. Not even Savannah who heād been dating on an off knew he could draw, nor had he ever wanted to draw her.
"Don't. Don't tell me your fears or your secrets." She whispered, pulling him from his thoughts causing him to take another drag off his cigarette and fix his eyes on it as it dangled from his fingertips. "It's dangerous if I know too much about you."
He just sighed, running his fingers through his hair, lifting the cigarette to his lips again and inhaling letting out a puff of smoke, watching as it dissipated. Even as they sat there in silence and he could hear that the rain outside had slowed, it wasnāt an awkward silence. It was comfortable, even just sitting near her.
"I'm not used to this." her quite voice, made him glance up at her. "My entire life, it's been my mom, my sister, and me." he didnāt miss the way her voice faltered when she spoke about her mother. "I don't want you to go, but I know you can't stay either." he sighed at the same time she did.
He didnāt answer right away, he let it fall silent again as he finished his cigarette before putting it out. They were both screwed up, only hers was different then his, yet he could still feel her pain and he wasnāt sure if that was because of her power or the way her voice sounded, but he assumed it was a little bit of both.
He pulled her into his lap gently, it was not something heād ever done with a girl, but for some reason it felt right with her and just touching her, sparked heat on his skin. He held her against him, everything still fresh in his mind. Everything theyād told each other and everything sheād showed him, but heād easily forgot all of it the second she was in his lap.
āAlright I wonāt tell you anythingā¦about me.ā He smirked, before letting it go quite for another moment. āIāll stay as long as you wantā He whispered āAnd, Iāll leave when you ask. But Iāll always be around.ā He voice was quite as if they were in a room full of people, but his words were only meant for her.
