Gabrielle shut her eyes tightly, as she heard two men come into the room. She didn't want to see them. The fear of seeing them was too great. She did not want to open her eyes. Not until they left. And when they did, he noticed Alex moving closer to her. She was startled slightly when he spoke in a whisper. "Hey. How are you doing?" Gabrielle nodded and looked at him. She opened her mouth to speak, but it took some time to speak. "I-I... I'm alright." She managed in a quiet raspy tone, having not said anything affected her voice. She tried again, just in case he did not hear her, "I'm alright. Thank you." She tucked in her knees and hugged them. "I-uh... just tired."
