When Alissa finished eating, Tannin noted that she fell quite silent and was merely looking out the window. She remained that way for a while and Tannin finished eating during this time. He said nothing, deciding that perhaps the young woman next to him simply didn't wish for conversation. He placed his things back onto the tray when suddenly he felt the bed move. He turned to look at the Princess only to find that she'd laid down and was already asleep. He remained where he was for a few moments longer than he really should have before rising from the bed. Tannin pulled the blankets up and around the young woman before blowing out the candle and then making his way to the wall. He leaned against it, slowly sliding down to rest in a semi-comfortable position. He closed his eyes and allowed sleep to take hold of him.

Tannin had been sleeping rather peacefully considering he normally didn't sleep so well when he was traveling. However, at some point early in the morning, just before the sun would come up, he awoke. For a moment, he couldn't understand why he'd awoken. He looked around the room, fearing that something was wrong. When his eyes finally came to rest on the bed, he'd not been expecting Alissa to be sitting up in the bed. The longer he looked at her, however, Tannin began to realize that something was not right. She seemed upset. He hesitated for a moment before rising from his spot. He slowly made his way to the bed and then hesitated once again. Now that he was closer, he could easily see that she was upset and crying. He could not understand what had gotten her so bothered. Had he done something and not known it?

This was something that the assassin was not used to dealing with. Sure, Litania had often gotten upset when she was younger, but she would normally calm herself. It was not because she was saddened or anything like that. After standing near her for a few short moments, Tannin decided that he needed to find out what was wrong and to try to comfort her. He removed all of his weapons that he normally kept on him, sitting them on the floor..out of the way. He then removed his boots. He sat ever so gently upon the bed next to Alissa. He then wrapped his arms around her in the hopes that she would calm down. He could tell now that he'd gotten closer to her that she was having troubling breathing..he needed to get her to calm herself. As they sat there together, Tannin just could not imagine what had upset her so. "Alissa? You must tell me what is wrong. Please."

However, he realized that perhaps he needed to help her as well. He then maneuvered their bodies so that they were now laying down on the bed..covered. Tannin gently pulled Alissa closer to his body, spooning her tightly. He hoped that this would at least help her to calm down. "You need to calm down..relax. You'll run out of air otherwise." he said softly..calmly. He knew that he should not bet in the bed with her but he'd known nothing else to do. He was beginning to worry for her. Laying there with her, however, Tannin realized how perfectly they seemed to fit together. Almost as soon as the thought crossed his mind he pushed it out. He didn't need to be thinking of such things. He gently placed his cheek against Alissa's shoulder, almost hiding from her. However, he was only trying to get her to realize that he was there for her..whenever she decided she wanted to talk.
