Tannin smiled and Alissa smiled back, he spoke again of his apprentice, explaining how he wished for her to take on some of the many tasks he had at hand, all which made her think even more of the woman Tannin kept on referring to. She wondered about what she thought of Tannin and still wondered by what he had meant by them being alike, a comment to which Alissa was still not very found of. Finally, Alissa finished eating but she did not move wanting to hear more of the Guild. "Either way, I can not imagine ever doing anything else. I do not enjoy killing..quite the opposite in fact. It is a necessary evil in this world, I'm afraid." Alissa found some comfort in his words, even when she had come to that realization even before he gave his confirmation. It seemed that rather than enjoying killing, it was something that Tannin was simply adept to. She did not like the idea of him murdering others, even when deep inside her she knew that they probably deserved it, she wondered if those murderers haunted his sleep as she had been haunted the night before. "Tiresome indeed" she repeated almost to herself.
Tannin suggested that he would explain more once they actually arrived to which Alissa smiled in anticipation, he would probably show her around too. ”It’s a date then…” she said looking at his eyes. Immediately after saying it she regretted it, she felt as if she might be crossing a line, she hoped that he had not paid any attention to her and she adverted her eyes away from his in embarrassment. ’What is wrong with you Alissa?’ she reprimanded herself. Thankfully it seemed like Tannin had not heard her silly suggestion as he continued speaking normally, "I have thought about it..and once we arrive you may write to your family, if you so wish it.".
Alissa had not thought of making contact with her family, truth was she wasn’t interested in the slightest after knowing what her father had done. She was not ready to hear his explanation if he even had one, but if she were to send a message she would probably send it to her mother and her mother only. Even so, she knew that her mother was most loyal to her father, even if Alissa would beg her not to tell her father it would have all been in vain. ”Thank you….” Alissa said still very doubtful of what she would do.
Not wanting to take longer than needed, Alissa was ready to leave. She got up and left her plate on the table, soon afterwards she headed towards the bathroom where she changed her clothes quite rapidly.”Almost ready” she said putting on the cloak that Tannin had gifted her, soon afterwards picking the book and the beautiful box that he had also given her before. ”All right, I’m ready” she said to Tannin. She waited for Tannin to leave the bed too before she did anything else. ”Let’s go” she said with a smile, heading outside the room.
She walked carefully down the stairs and towards the main entrance. There were but a few people inside the inn, distant chatter and..., ’no…’ Alissa thought immediately at the sight of the mysterious man that had been incessantly following her and Tannin. She didn’t want to alert Tannin or the man, although it was obvious that he was waiting for them. She walked as naturally as she could, but she could not hide her fear and nervousness.
Once they were out the inn she finally let out a sigh of relief, wanting to get out as soon as they possibly could, she did not want to wait much longer so she almost rushed in when she started walking towards the stable where Daeroch would be waiting.
