"Sometimes, I wonder what you mean to me, and I to you."

Asuka's smile quickly faded the moment the words left Sora's mouth. She frowned, pouting her bottom lip out in the process, however; it was once again replaced by the smile. "Thanks Sora, you always know how to make me feel better," she retorted, rolling her eyes in the process as she leaned away from him. She did tap his shoulder lightly with her fist, though it would have been more forceful if she had all of her strength. Did she really look that bad? Had she really allowed herself to deteriorate so much? She glanced back at him when he continued speaking, tilting her head slightly as he apologized. She almost laughed at that, Sora, apologizing? She smiled softly, blinking a bit when his hands found their way into her hair. She did nothing to remove them, instead, closing her eyes a bit as he combed his fingers through her wispy hair.

"Always the sentimental type aren't you," she half chided, keeping her eyes closed in the process. There was something, calming about his fingers toying with her hair. It brought a sense of ease that she had missed for the last week. She opened her jade-colored eyes when Sora asked if she needed to drink, feed in this instance, stating that she could if she wanted to. She almost scoffed, but she stopped herself from doing so. She could hear his blood flowing through his veins, and to say that she wasn't tempted would have been a lie. She was thirsty, and only his blood could ever satisfy that, if only temporarily. But it was still enough for her. She leaned closer to him, taking in his scent and everything that was him.

"Thanks, Sora, but," she stated, a lump growing in her throat as she leaned closer to his neck. All she had to do was pierce his flesh and take what he was offering, however; she couldn't bring herself to do so. She had relied on him too many times before for blood, and she was afraid of what might happen if she took anymore. She wasn't afraid of what might happen to him, but what might happen to her. The first time she took his blood, she didn't want to stop. It had been intoxicating, so much that she had to force herself to stop. The second time wasn't so bad, and she was actually able to control herself that time. But a third time? "You can't keep offering yourself every time I'm in trouble," she stated, resting her head along his collar bone in the process.

That's what it always seemed like to her. Every time she was in trouble, or needed blood, he was always there to offer his own for her. Not that she didn't appreciate the gesture, she really did. But it was confusing her. These strange emotions, the satisfying quench of her thirst, it was all new to her, and Snow was being as secretive as always. Though he did tease her about it constantly, it had become somewhat of a growing irritation to her. It wasn't a bad irritation, but the fact that her familiar knew something she didn't, it was starting to take it's toll on her. She shook her head, rubbing her face against his shirt in the process as she scoffed. His final sentence, however; caused Asuka to remove herself and locked eyes with him. He was worried, about her? Afraid of losing her? She furrowed her brows and blinked in confusion.

"Sora," she started, her tone coming out a bit softer than she intended. This was precisely what she meant when she felt those strange emotions fluttering through her being. "I'm sorry you were worried, but you could never lose me. I wouldn't do that to my friends. I've said it once before, you mean a lot to me. You're the only one I have left and I need you more than anything right now," she stated, the words perhaps coming out a bit differently than she had intended, and if taken wrongly, could be misinterpreted for something else. She wasn't even sure what she meant by those words. She could feel herself twitch slightly as she sighed. Perhaps she was a little more under the weather than she thought she was.

She walked closer to Sora before wrapping her arms under his and snaking them around his shoulder's, holding him in an awkward embrace. This was always a bit awkward for the both of them, and she knew how reacted to these physical contact. The last time she gave him a hug, though, he didn't respond so tensely. "One more time then," she finally stated, coming to a decision. She would take his blood one last time, and from there on, she would do so no longer. She couldn't keep relying on him this way. What if something were to happen to him? What if he decided to just leave one day and never come back? He wouldn't be around for her. That thought alone scared her somewhat, and her arms tightened their grip around him, bringing him a little lower so that she could reach his neck properly before allowing her fangs to pierce his skin, all of her worries and scares disappearing with the sudden inflow of blood.
