I walk forward on silent feet. There is a rabbit in front of me. I tiptoe forward and fling my crude spear. My aim is true and I get a ripped up but delicious rabbit. I have been in these woods for a week, and the place is starting to feel like home. I hate to have to kill these creatures but they are food. The weird thing is that they're invisible until I hot them. I have to rely on hearing and hope, and when I kill them I can see them.

I have seen other humans, but I don't go near them. I am usually very outgoing (I remember that much) but all these other people are criminals too, so killing me would be an easy feat. I feel like I want to go forward, but fear hold me back. I know they know I'm here, especially the girl who always is holding something, probably an invisible animal. I'm scared but I dare not let it show. At night I have the same nightmare over and over again:

I'm standing in the shadows, smiling as people are being killed all around me. Then I am standing in front of a black void, and I wake up screaming.

Maybe not very terrifying, but the sense of dread I get....I shudder, then skin the rabbit and build a fire, ready to cook it.
