"You know, I think I've heard this once before."
Asuka held a breath she wasn't aware of until she released it. She had confessed that she loved him. Him, Sora, as the person he was, the friend he became, and the pillar of her life she had learned to lean on. She never thought for a second that, for all those days she spent with him, confused about what she was feeling for him, that she could have felt something as love for him. It felt as if a great weight had finally lifted, and she understood a part of herself more than she had ever thought she could have. Though she loved Sora, there was still a part of her that was scared to do so. She wasn't a vampire, but she wasn't a human. She wasn't a pure-blood, and she wasn't a noble. Her life would expire eventually, and whatever time she had left, she wanted to spend it with him.
Whether she would continue aging like a human, or if she would live for a few centuries longer, every second, every minute, she wanted to spend with him. That thought alone caused her arms to tighten against him as he melded their bodies together, the obvious lack of space in between them evident. She buried her head into his chest, inhaling his scent and smiling as he spoke. Part of her tensed when he spoke her name, and the subtle pause when he said he couldn't, caused a bout of fear to course through her. She was half afraid that he was going to say he couldn't love her, but her body relaxed substantially when he continued, chasing away that fear.
She smiled against him when he spoke familiar words to her. He had spoken the same words, almost the same, when she had first told him he was important to her, when they became friends. He had said he didn't know how to be a friend, that he would get it wrong probably, but she shook her head. He had been more of a friend to her than she ever thought he could be, and that had surprised her a bit. None of that mattered now. She had confessed, and he had told her the same thing. Her heart fluttered when he said he wouldn't stop, and neither would she. There could never be another to replace him, nor would she want another. He was hers now and she was his. That's all that would ever matter to her.
She pulled her head back a bit so that she could tilt it up to stare at his face. She reached up with her fingers, tangling them in his hair in the process as a smile lit her face up. She ran her fingers through his hair, though it was shorter than hers, it still held enough length for her to do so without it appearing odd. The feeling of belonging to him felt foreign to her. Though it wasn't uncomfortable or displeasing in any way, the thought of belonging to someone was odd, however; she was rather enjoying it now. She held back a laugh though as she shook her head softly.
"You said that before, and you haven't screwed up yet," she bantered, the slyness returning to her smile. "Besides, Asuka Tsukino sounds a bit weird don't you think?" she laughed at herself for that. Though it did have a nice ring to it, she wasn't going to push anything further regarding that matter. She, instead, pulled him down, brushing her lips against his. "Though this will have to do...for now," she stated, smiling against his lips in the process before crushing her lips once more against him. There was still the intent of wanting to devour everything he was, and though they should move on, return to the academy; she didn't care for anything in the world at the moment than the boy in her hands and his lips.
