Daniel Westfield

Daniel sat there, in the window, as the morning sun hit his hair. It gave it this golden look, a look of innocence. And maybe, for a moment, he looked peaceful. But only for a moment. Daniel looked over to a man carrying a suitcase enter a hotel elevator. Daniel, grabbing his backpack and slinging it across his back, quickly darted into the elevator with him. And then, the voice came.

"Good Daniel. Stay with your target. And remember, the priority is the contact, not the buyer. I will keep watch through your cyber eye".

The voice in his head was his handler. Daniel looked over at the man, smiled like any other innocent child, then faced forward again. A little thing about Daniel, is that he knew how to kill this man six different ways in this elevator. Seven, if he had no martial arts training. For a moment, he had an extreme amount of static over comms, but then it normalized again.

The elevator stopped. Daniel knew this was his floor, so he got out first, and walked in any direction. The man got out, and started to walk the other way, so Daniel knew what to do. "Oh, wrong way..." he noted out loud, turned around, and started following the man. As he made his way forward, however, he got a strange message.

"Be careful. We finally figured out what the payment is. They are paying the Triad with a shipment of young girls, ages 10-16, and that briefcase holds their location. Priority change. If we stop the payment, it could damage relations with the Triad. Additionally, try to acquire both Briefcases yourself, and only leave the bodies of one side. Make it look like a betrayal. Oh, and give the discovery of the bodies some...increased speed..."

"Orders?" Daniel whispered.

"Charge in and kill everyone" he got, though the message was kind of staticy. Some sort of interference on the comms. Unknown to Daniel, that was not what his handler had said. What he said was "Listen in on the conversation, we are also hearing rumors they may be discussing secrets they learned about our government". But unknown to Daniel, someone was intercepting and altering the messages he got from his handler.

Someone was playing Daniel, and he didn't even know it. But worse, this meant that someone knew about his Cyber Eye frequency.
