Ronnie notices that a few things in the room seemed to be pushed a bit out of place, and raises an eyebrow quizzically. It isn't a curiosity of cause, but of motivation- she tends to think more in terms of people than in objects or events- typically, anyway. Obviously when she's scheming, which she'll likely begin doing before the end of week is over because she can only remain on 'her best behavior' for so long, this might alter, but in everyday situations, it is the case. She slides her gaze back towards new kid, and of course thinks that this might of been him, given that he is standing near a slightly moved chair, and because he is the person her attention is focused on- and thus the first person her mind goes to as an explanation. She returns his smile, a strangely relieved one, with an upturning of her own lips. Her smile is slightly lopsided, favoring the right side more, and thus seems to express perpetual amusement of a sort. "I guess I'll take that as a good morning in return, then," she says, shrugging her shoulders. The boy then asks if she's seen Odin. Odin? Ah- must be his frog, then? Is that why the common rooms a bit shaken looking? Or why he's a bit shaken looking, that is to say?
"The toad. Odin is the toad's name," he clarifies quickly, looking more anxious by the moment. His words are rushed and he is blushing scarlet, very quickly telling Ronnie that he is not the most socially exceptional of individuals. That's fine, of course- Vulpes is known for intelligence, not charisma. In fact, there are a good deal of 'read books not people' sorts around this dorm, so she doubts that frog boy will be finding himself alone in this deficit.
"Oh, good. I was worried that you were the sort to speak in the third person- and were an amnesiac," she adds the last part for the sake of closing little holes in her jest, before her smile widens, becoming a borderline grin at this point, really.
"But I haven't. If he's not here, perhaps you left him in the Great Hall? Or you could go down there to see if he wandered the halls at night?" she recommends, hopefully helpfully. She, at this point, has decided not to bother asking for frog boys name-she'll figure it out eventually if it is necessary to do so, probably. "If you decide to come down, look for me- I'll be eating," she adds, giving a little wave before leaving the dorm, and frog boy, behind.
When she reaches the Great Hall, Ronnie makes a beeline for Rae, who is eating, and at the moment notices the frog sitting on the table beside the girl. "Hey, Rae- where'd you find that frog? I know someone who is looking for one," she comments before grabbing a pear and taking a bite into it. Class is starting soon, so it occurs to her that she should start heading to her first lesson. Thus, the girl remains standing while she chews.
Swallowing, she continues, "New kid- don't know his name. He should be in our first period, though, so you can see if it is his then."
