There was a sudden snarl and a cry from the dragon that had been chasing after Aaron. The wyrm had temporarily stopped its assault to thrash its head. In its snout, there was now a small hole. In it, stuck a shiny bullet.

"Oh, repulsive behemoth! You dare wreak havoc on a son of Adam beneath my watchful eye!?"

The voice came from higher above. The powerful, but very incredibly feminine voice echoed and bounced around the mountains like God's word. However, standing on a rather large boulder above them certainly was not a god.

A pistol-wielding young woman stood there, and in the eyes of many men and in her own she was certainly a sight to behold. Slim and nubile, the woman had a black curtain of hair that concealed half of her face in sideswept bangs, leaving more than enough room to reveal a tiny smirk across her face that cried "I can do anything." She wore armor that bore whites and greens and purples, with complicated straps and elegant designs, all of it suggesting that the source of it was at least noble.

The woman passed the young man a glance, then shot another round at the dragon, causing it to howl once more. She dropped down from the boulder, landing steadily on her feet, and drew her rapier, the handle of which was made of gold, embroidered with gems. "Well! Not today!" she announced bravely to the enraged dragon, pointing her weapon at it.

She took no time in running the other way the nest second. She cried to the young man, "Run! Run while it's distracted!"
