"In a world full of possibilities, there are also consequences."
She turned her attention towards Sora when he voiced the silent question rolling through her mind. Her lips merely tugged tightly together when Sachiko replied she didn't know. Asuka had to slightly agree with Sachiko, though. From her first interaction with the girl, up until they had lunch together, Anastasia seemed like a normal girl, probably a little sweet, but still nonetheless rather gentle and peaceful. What could she possibly hope to attain if she were just going to try and attack them?
Asuka wasn't one to brag about abilities, nor strengths, but Anastasia (as far as she could tell), was just a human. A human with an extraordinary gift that should have been gifted to her if she were a vampire. Was Anastasia like her then? A creature caught in between? Asuka shook her head at the silly thought. Of course she was a human, she didn't produce an odd scent like Asuka did, nor did she smell vampire. She was completely human. Perhaps that was what they wanted then, a human able to bypass a vampire's ability with a gift such as hers.
She was brought out of her thoughts when Sora finally questioned her. She pursed her lips together and shook her head. "No. He didn't say anything. I had asked him what had happened, and all he said was that...we shouldn't have come back. That we should leave. He also said something about being at fault for Kaede and Haruka's death," she answered, sighing softly through her nose before taking a deep breath. She didn't understand what he meant by that. How was Haruka's death his fault? Kaede's...she wasn't so sure. All she knew was that he had Kaede's blood on him.
"That was all he said before he left," she continued, squeezing Sora's hand in the process as she felt his tighten. "Who...who is Contra Mundi?" she found herself asking. She had no idea who this person was, who he was to Sachiko, to Sora, and it seemed that there was something personal between the two. She didn't know what it was, however; it ran deep. That much she was able to tell. She glanced between Sachiko and Sora, trying to read their expressions in the process. She couldn't read their expressions, and she pursed her lips together.
